Atlético Madrid return to training without injured Koke, Saúl

Majadahonda (Spain), 10 Feb, (Camera: Manuel Única).- Atlético de Madrid returned to training Tuesday after a two-day break with a morning session at the club's sports complex with neither the injured Jorge 'Koke' Resurrección nor Saúl Ñiguez, who followed an alternative program.



Koke received physiotherapy treatment for a thigh injury, which forced him off in the 8th minute of the derby against Real Madrid. The midfielder will be out for at least three weeks.



Saúl, who also had to come off in the derby after he received a blow to his knee, followed a personalised program to aid his recovery.



The rest of the squad worked out for half an hour in the gymnasium and later did a number of running drills on the training pitch. Following that, the coaching staff prepared a series of exercises with the ball.
