Nitish vs Manji in Bihar political drama

As big political drama was unfolding in Delhi, the scene was no different in Bihar. JD(U) legislative party ousted Jitan Ram Manjhi as their leader and paved way for Nitish Kumar to take over as the CM once again. Nitish Kumar was unanimously voted as leader of the house, which effectively means that he is now the Chief Minister of Bihar again. Kumar had resigned in the wake of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, taking 'moral responsibility' for the poor performance of the JD(U) in the state. The meeting, called by party President Sharad Yadav, took place shortly after Manjhi's unsuccessful bid to have a Cabinet recommendation for dissolution of the Assembly. Earlier, a last-ditch attempt was made for a patch up between Manjhi and the group led by Kumar but it failed.
