According to a latest report, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has landed in India and the Indian import/export tracking Website Zauba has confirmed the same. More importantly, the Website also reveals the much-awaited key specifications of the S6.
It is worth noting that, two units of the Samsung Galaxy S6 handset has entered the country for device testing and evaluation, before the impending release. Apparently, both the units are tied to the model number SM-G920V. And the handset’s display size has been confirmed to a pocket-friendly 5.0-inch, says GSM Arena.
With a 5.0-inch display, the upcoming Galaxy S6 will be 0.1-inch smaller than the current-generation flagship device Samsung Galaxy S5. When it comes to screen resolution, earlier reports from Samsung UAProf Webpage confirmed that the handset will feature a QHD resolution.
Speaking of price, Zauba database says the Samsung Galaxy S6's import price on the testing unit is reportedly INR 25,169 that roughly translates to $405. As this is the price of the testing unit, the actual price of the finished device will be different, says the same site. Also, under the hood, the handset will reportedly be powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 7420 chipset, packed with an octa-core CPU. Plus, the smartphone will be backed by 3 GB of RAM.
If reports are true, the S6 will feature a metal frame, seen in the Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy Note 4. The dimensions of the upcoming device are reported to be 143.5 x 70.7 x 7.2 mm, while the Galaxy S5 measures 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm. With the said dimensions, it is very evident that the upcoming handset will be significantly thinner than the current flagship. As far as the camera specification goes, there will reportedly be a humongous 20 MP unit housed on the back of the device. Nonetheless, Samsung has not confirmed any of the specifications thus far.
