The Venezuelan government has intensified its efforts to combat the economic war behind waged by the right-wing opposition in an attempt to destabilize the country. As part of such efforts, an international committee of intellectuals has been formed to propose new economic strategies against speculation, hoarding and contraband and to publicize the social gains achieved in the past 15 years of the Bolivarian Revolution. teleSUR
