Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Soviet liberation of the Auschwitz extermination camp. At the official ceremony on Tuesday attended by hundreds of survivors and world leaders, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski said that Poland respects and recognizes the role of the Soviet Army in liberating the Nazi death camp.
