Protesters Monday gathered outside British Parliament in the attempt to prevent the passing of a 'Fracking Law' that would permit destructive, underground fracking beneath private property against the wishes of the property owners. Although Energy Minister Amber Rudd stated that shale gas extraction would now be banned in national parks and other protected areas, ministers accepted a Labour Party amendment to the Infrastructure Bill setting "necessary conditions" for fracking to take place. teleSUR
