KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Sunday accused Jamat-e-Islami of attempting to sabotage peace in the country’s largest city.
In a statement issued here Sunday, the MQM’s coordination committee asked under which Shariah Jamat-e-Islami is staging “violent protests.”
The statement came on a day after JI staged a huge rally in Karachi to protest blasphemous caricatures published by French magazine.
“French embassy is located in Islamabad. Why Jamat-e-Islami is not holding protest there?” it questioned. -Samaa
