Watch Rajinikanth to get Padma Vibhushan
The latest news is that, Narendra Modi is planning to give Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in the country, to 148 personalities in the country, this Republic Day. The long list includes Tamil actor Rajinikanth who is fondly called as the Superstar of Indian cinema.
The list also includes former deputy PM L K Advani, Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. Besides the above-mentioned celebrities, Bollywood's veteran actor Dilip Kumar, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, script writer and lyricist Salim Khan (father of Salman Khan) and ad film-maker Prasoon Joshi's names also figures in the list of hopefuls for this year's Padma awards.
