Gunshots were heard as police cracked down on a new student demonstration at Kinshasa's university following two days of bloody violence in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. At least 42 people have been killed according to the International Federation of Human Rights, but these figures are disputed by the government. The authorities put the death toll at five. The protests were started by people angry over a possible delay to next year's election. Al Jazeera's Malcolm Webb reports from the capital, Kinshasa.
