A fire on a truck has caused the closure of the Channel tunnel between France and the UK.
The incident is reported to have been on the French side of the crossing.
There are no reports of injuries.
Trains have stopped operating until further notice.
Authorities say they managed to evacuate a train without incident and others returned to their stations of origin.
The alert came from carbon dioxide detectors.
