NextEra Energy (NextEra), a renewable energy company, has agreed to acquire Hawaiian Electric Industries (HEI), a power utility company. The transaction is valued at approximately $4.3 billion, including the assumption of $1.7 billion of HEIs debt, and excludes HEIs banking subsidiary.
