Honduras: currency to be liberalized per IMF request

The Honduran lempira will start to be liberalized as demanded by the International Monetary Fund. This means that the already weak lempira could be further devaluated and control of the currency handed over to foreign banks. The lempira could lose 8% of its value this year, which would have a major effect in a country where many goods and services are charged in US dollars. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa. teleSUR
