He was in his boat as it idled and had just caught a fish when he fell into the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. He soon made the decision to swim back to shore in the dark.

Over the duration of nearly 10 hours, he covered a distance of roughly 9 miles and managed to safely reach the sands. Konrad’s endurance is impressive, but not all that surprising considering he is a former Miami Dolphins player, who was on the team for six seasons.
