The Pope’s upcoming visit to the Philippines is expected to result in long hours for traffic officers, so it’s being required that they wear adult diapers.

Pope Francis’ upcoming visit to the Philippines is expected to result in long hours for traffic officers, so it’s being required that they wear adult diapers.

It’s also being suggested that those who go to see the Pope put one on as well.

Millions of people are expected to attend the evening mass and other events.

With so many individuals being in one place at one time, there simply aren’t enough bathroom facilities to accommodate them.

Large crowds also mean that traffic officers will need to stay at their posts to direct the masses which means no time for trips to the bathroom.

Emerson Carlos, a Metro Manila Development Authority official received some negative commentary when he announced the plan, but he stands by his decision.

He also noted that among the officers, "there have been no complaints."
