Madrid, Jan 7 (EFE), (Camera: Jesús Bartolomé).- Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti highlighted Fernando Torres' return to Spanish soccer in comments made in the run-up to the Madrid derby that will pit Real Madrid on Wednesday against Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey's Round of 16.
The Italian-born Ancelotti said on Monday that even "without having played yet," Torres "has already brought a lot of enthusiasm to Atletico's supporters".
"He has received a lot of affection. He has experience, quality and he's going to be motivated and eager to do well," Real Madrid's official website quoted the Italian manager as saying.
"Both teams know each other very well. We have played many times; they're a difficult and well-organized team with fighting spirit, experience and quality. To beat Atletico you have to be firing on all cylinders, because they're one of the best teams in Europe," Ancelotti added.
