I’ve been focusing on writing humorous non-fiction lately, which I’ve always loved. I have two essay series going so far:
1. Funny Learning essays (think Mary Roach meets Cracked.com)
2. Meet my Father, The Internet (think Mike Birbiglia meets a trivia book sitting on the back of a toilet in the home of a divorcee).
In addition to the non-fiction essays, I’ve been pushing hard on a new podcast called Important Question? Myself and fellow writer and all around good guy (yes, fellow good guy) Gordon Highland get together every couple of weeks and play devil’s advocate for about 20 minutes. In each episode we pose and discuss one ethically-weighted question. Episode One is Would you be a cannibal? Episode Two is Would you ruin a child’s Christmas?
