C Minor and C Minor Pentatonic work. Also, definitely try C Dorian, C Phrygian and C Harmonic Minor. You will technically be "out," but done with finesse you can sound very cool. For starters, just add riffs from the "out" scales when you would normally hear a drum fill, and then go back into Minor or Pentatonic. When you get comfortable, try longer lines.
