Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff met with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden for bilateral talks in Brasilia, shortly after having been sworn in for a second four-year term on Thursday (January 1).
Biden congratulated Rousseff on behalf of U.S. President Barack Obama and underscored the strategic importance of the U.S.-Brazil relationship.
The leaders agreed on the need to develop a robust and ambitious agenda for bilateral, regional and global cooperation, according to the White House.
