Edward Herrmann, an actor best known for his role as Richard Gilmore on the television show “Gilmore Girls,” has died at age 71. The actor passed away Wednesday after a battle with brain cancer, his manager confirmed to the Daily News. "Besides being an accomplished actor, Herrmann was a true gentleman and a scholar, as well as being an incredibly kind and decent man," his manager Robbie Kass told The News. He had a long and distinguished acting career that included roles in films such as “The Lost Boys,” “My Cousin Vinny” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
