Gov. Bobby Jindal Blasts Obama, Leftist Extremists
National Constitution Center - National Constitution Center
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has been outspoken in his critique of President Obama's energy policies, writing in The Wall Street Journal, "This administration willfully ignores rational choices that would lower energy prices and reduce U.S. reliance on foreign energy sources." As keynote speaker of the 11th Annual Templeton Lecture for Economic Liberty and the Constitution, Governor Jindal will present his perspective on the connection between energy policy and economic prosperity for the nation-highlighting how "We the People" are impacted by energy regulations. Kevin Hassett, John G. Searle Senior Fellow and Director of Economic Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute, delivers the response. National Constitution Center President and CEO Jeffrey Rosen will moderate this compelling conversation.

Governor Bobby Jindal attended Brown University and later Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar. He was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2001. In 2004, he was elected to the United States Congress representing the First District of Louisiana and, in his first term, played an instrumental role in Louisiana's recovery from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He was sworn in as Governor of Louisiana in 2008.
