The Center for New York City Affairs at The New School (http://newschool.edu/milano/nycaffairs) presents the annual Nathan Levin Lecture on Public Policy. How do cities fit into the current debate in Washington, if they fit at all? Are the Obama policies on education, urban development, and social welfare leveraging meaningful improvements for New York and other cities, or is it more of the same? How will the administration's policies address the social justice issues so central to his campaign, particularly in terms of making additional opportunities available to economically and socially disadvantaged Americans?
