Former teen actor Dustin Diamond, who played the nerdy "Screech" on the 90s sitcom "Saved by the Bell," appeared in a Wisconsin court Monday after a Christmas bar fight.
He's accused of stabbing a man with a switchblade, according to court records.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRIAN HEBEIN, WITNESS, SAYING:
"Ran over there to help break up the fight and all of a sudden I heard somebody yell he's got a knife."
It was here at the Grand Avenue Saloon where witnesses say Diamond's fiancee Amanda Schultz got into a fight with another woman.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRIAN HEBEIN, WITNESS, SAYING:
"She was upset about some pictures being taken to get a girl took exception to it and took a swing at her."
Court records say another man then confronted Diamond.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) RANDY BUSER, BAR OWNER, SAYING:
"Screech ended up pulling a knife to scare people off a little but he left the scene shortly thereafter."
