STORY: The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) released video on Friday (December 26) of an airstrike against three Islamic State buildings near Aleppo, Syria.
According to CENTCOM, the aerial footage depicts three impacts of the airstrike, which occurred on Sunday (December 21).
The mission, in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, aims to destroy Islamic State targets in Syria and Iraq, where militants have seized large swathes of territory.
Several countries have joined the U.S.-led mission.
Members of the coalition conducting airstrikes in Iraq include: the U.S., Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
Those conducting airstrikes in Syria include: the U.S., Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
