Rome, Dec 26 (EFE).- Spanish soccer club Atletico Madrid and the Italian team AC Milan have agreed on a player-exchange deal, that will see Fernando Torres returning to Spain and Alessandro Cerci going back to Italy, Italian media reported on Thursday.
According to the press, Milan's official announcement of Torres' return to Spain (he played for Atletico Madrid between 2002 and 2007) will be made once the January transfer window opens on the first day of the month.
"La Gazzetta dello Sport," said the clubs have already reached a solid agreement; the only formality remaining is the players' explicit approval, but added that should not prove to be a problem.
Both players will be joining their respective new teams after the Christmas holidays, according to the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica."
