ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced that special courts will be setup for a period of two years to cope with the scourge of terrorism that has claimed over 50,000 lives, Geo News reported.
In his televised speech on Wednesday night, PM Nawaz Sharif apprised the nation about the outcomes of the meeting of parliamentary parties leadership.
He said political parties had reached a consensus on setting up special courts to deal with terrorism related cases.
Nawaz Sharif said, “Being the Prime Minister of Pakistan it is my responsibility to lead the war against terror.”
In strong message to militants, the Premier said the days of terrorists are numbered, adding that all funding sources of terrorists will also be eliminated.
Nawaz said; “Madrassahs (religious seminaries) will not be allowed to operate without proper registration.” “Banned outfits will not be allowed to operate under new names and steps will be to stop their funding”, he maintained.
He said, NACTA would be made fully functional and its financial issues would be solved.
PM Nawaz said TV Channels will not be allowed to give coverage to terrorists, adding that steps were being taken to root them out from social media as well.
He said action will be taken against hate speech and hate literature.
The Prime Minister further said Karachi operation would be brought to its logical end.
