Puppy cams can come in handy at some very unexpected times. Via one of those devices, a homeowner in Tempe, Arizona caught a man she didn’t know going through her belongings.

Portable cams are becoming increasingly common amongst homeowners. Via one such device, a homeowner in Tempe, Arizona caught a stranger going through her belongings.

The woman named Mia, had installed a live video feed using iPhone app Manything to watch her pets while she was working.

On Friday morning, she looked at the live stream after receiving an alert from the app and witnessed the suspect in her house.

Mia quickly called police and told them what was happening as she watched it unfold on a screen. After saying there was an intruder in her home, Mia told the dispatcher the suspect was giving her two dogs treats, presumably to keep them calm while he rummaged through the house.

Mia even saw her canines lick the stranger’s face. The intruder saw the camera and powered it down, however by that time Mia had already seen him and alerted authorities.

The suspect, later identified as Aaron C. White, tried to flee, but police officers were on scene and took him into custody. He has been charged with one count of second-degree burglary.

The dogs weren’t injured in the incident and police jokingly said the pooches looked like they were well-fed.
