A British man awoke from a coma believing that he was Academy award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey.
Matthew McConaughey has the looks, an incredibly successful career and a lovely family so it’s not surprising that somebody would want to be him.
What is a bit shocking is that a man awoke from a coma believing that he actually was the Academy award-winning actor.
He was also suddenly able to speak French fluently.
Rory Curtis, a 25-year-old barber from England, was rendered unconscious in a car accident.
Firefighters worked for the better part of an hour to get him out of the wreckage, and Curtis was then airlifted to an area hospital.
After nearly a week, the man came to but wasn’t quite himself.
Curtis said that while lying in the hospital bed he was thinking about how badly he wanted to get out and start filming again.
When he finally did make out of bed and to the bathroom, he was shocked to see his reflection, as he did not at all resemble the charming Texan he thought he was.
As for the French, Curtis said he did study it in school, but wasn’t all that great at it, so has no idea where his sudden mastery of the language came from.
He has since reverted back to his original identity, but is still able to speak French.
