On the streets of Havana, news of the historic moves to normalize U.S.-Cuban relations is everywhere.
From the return of the Cuban Five to the blessing of his Holiness, Pope Francis, many say they're excited by these first steps.

"With these new relations, Cuba is hoping for prosperity. It is great news for the end of the year, the country's economy is going to grow, relations are going to improve, following 56 years of revolution, this is the best that could happen to our people."
The two countries -- just 90 miles apart -- severed diplomatic ties in 1961.
Many consider the end of hostilities to be long overdue and hope the deal brings a brighter future.
