The history of the Folklore museum of Vissa starts in the decade of 70s, when teachers who taught in the community of Vissa motivated by their love for tradition, began collecting folklore stuff in three elementary schools in New Vissa, thus creating an enviable collection.

The collection includes objects from the rural activities of the residents, household utensils, tools, icons, traditional costumes, decorations of traditional costumes of the women, old bank notes, handiwork and rich photo gallery.

This first gathering of this material led to the need for the establishment of a place to house all this wealth. This space was found in the building of the Cultural Center.
