The NFL Players Association released a grievance letter citing a plan by head coach Bill Belichick, owner Robert Kraft, and the team’s physician Thomas Gill to delay former defensive end Jonathan Fanene’s knee surgery in order to take back his $3.85 million signing bonus before the 2012 season. The letter was released publicly after after a copy of a complaint the NFL Players Association filed last year against the Patriots was submitted last week in a federal class action lawsuit.
