I love the highway, it is so much better than the low way. However, I don't love it enough to adopt the highway. I mean, seriously, what is adopt a highway? Why would anyone want to adopt a road? It's just another responsibility you have to put on your plate. I wonder when you adopt the highway, if you have to go through the same crap that you do when you have to adopt a child...all the paperwork, and then foster systems and what not. It's the cities responsibility to keep the highway well maintained, not the peoples...why else do we get taxed? I'd adopt a highway if they paid me to take care of their road...but in that case, I would be more or baby sitter or mannie of the highway rather than the adoptee. I love when people adopt a highway, it says that the strip of highway that was adopted who's the father is. It makes life so much easier, because now we know who to blame if there is a pot hole that needs to be fixed. To me, and Jackie Flynn, there is no reason to ever adopt a road...and for those people who wonder "what is adopt a highway," I hope that this bit, as well as my description helped you figure it out.
