Recession was a word that was thrown around a lot in the mid 2000's. I had no idea what is recession, because I never really experienced one before. I thought the recession only affected the United States, until I heard of a global recession. Global recession just sounds terrible, but at least we aren't the only country suffering. The news had some great nicknames for the us recession. We called it, great recession, the great recession, economic recession, united states recession. My favorite was the great recession because it was so ironic. We cannot call it a great recession, because an economic recession is not great. Also the fact that it was also known as the United States recession or the us recession, allowed us to understand that the recession united the states in knowing we were poor. Now I still do not know what is recession precisely, all I know is a recession is not a great thing.
