When I first heard this bit, I laughed out loud in the library...it is kind of awkward...but really funny. I wasn't sure what reparations were, and he explained it which made reparations more clear for me. I honestly had no idea that black reparations actually existed, and I 100 percent agree with his new idea of what black reparations should be. I agree that slavery was a sad and terrible thing, and reparations for slavery might be the fair thing to do, however shouldn't the slaves get the reparations for slavery and not the people living today? Technically, but still racism exists today, which is not cool in my opinion. This bit really made me want to pay more attention to politics, because I want to know about Obama reparations. Chinedu talks about Obama first in this bit, and then transitions from Obama reparations. As I learn more about the history of United States economics, I will ask my professor about slavery reparations, because I am very interested in slavery reparations. I wonder if my professor has the same stance as Chinedu about slave reparations, and if he doesn't maybe I can tell him the joke...I'll give Chinedu the credit for the joke on slave reparations, but it's clever.
