With the remnants of Saturday's deadly bus blast in Kabul still fresh in their minds, Afghans are on edge.
Waves of suicide bombings and commando-style assaults by the Taliban further threaten an already fragile security.
The attacks are spreading uncertainty as most foreign combat troops withdraw this month.
In a fiery speech on Sunday, President Ashraf Ghani condemned the attacks.

"These acts are unacceptable; these acts are not Islamic and are inhuman. The society has to say in one voice that it's no longer acceptable."
His speech comes days after a suicide bombing killed a German man at a French cultural center.
The man was attending a performance of a play denouncing suicide bombs.
Ghani said he's seeking to revive an Afghan security body last seen during a Soviet-backed government in the 1980s.
He did not give details, but his spokesman said there would be greater co
