Follow the music, admire the art, place yourself inside historic architecture, in Telesur's "Cultura Latina". This week's program, hosted by Mauricio Izquierdo, starts in Honduras, where the National University is opening cultural centers in impoverished areas of the country, in this case in the violence ridden city of Comayaguela. Then it's on to Ecuador, for a visit to the Chimbacalle railway station, which is considered one of Quito's top historical treasures and was recently declared part of the country's cultural heritage. The train, called the most beautiful in the world, was restored in 2008 and now attracts 160,000 visitors a year. teleSUR
