After three years of work in Mexico, the Permanent People's Tribunal (PPT) charged the Mexican State with being responsible for multiple human rights violations and and systemic, structural and systematic deviation and abuse of power in favor of corporate interests. Rather than isolated incidents, the Tribunal uncovered a pattern of crimes of State. Carlsen interviews Ramon Vera, editor of the indigenous affairs magazine Ojarasca and member of the support team of the PPT/Mexico and Tatiana Coll, university professor and judge in the PPT's deliberations and findings on education in Mexico.
