Police in California have arrested a man wanted in the abduction of his four sons after a dramatic standoff on a San Diego County freeway.
Daniel Perez was taken into custody Thursday morning after SWAT vehicles surrounded his car on a freeway onramp in Santee, California.
Police say Perez was a person of interest after his family went missing earlier in the week.
During the standoff, two of Perez' sons were seen exiting the vehicle unharmed.
When Perez got out of the car with the two remaining children, he was taken down by officers.
Perez, his wife Erica and their four sons ages 6 to 11 were last seen on Friday.
His arrest comes one day after authorities found a woman's body inside the trunk of a car belonging to the family.
Police have not identified the woman but family members fear the body belongs to Erica Perez.
