Just in time for Christmas, a woman in Missouri got exactly what she desperately needed. Cindy Grady, who struggles to make ends meet as a waitress, received the best tip – a car.
For awhile, Grady had been driving around in a vehicle that was in very bad shape. Grady admitted the car was basically falling apart and said she had hit about 5 deer with it.
She remarked “I was into a spot where I was, I dunno depressed, of course driving that car there, it’s like just feeling like nobody cares you know.”
What she didn’t know at the time was that a couple had seen her car in the parking lot several times. Gary and Roxann Tackett noticed the hood was being held down by a strap and that the window was broken.
The couple was informed the vehicle was owned by a waitress at a Cracker Barrel location they often visited. They also learned she was a hard-worker who was doing her best to support her disabled son.
That was all the couple needed to hear. In November, they went out and purchased a 2008 Ford Fusion.
Just weeks before Christmas, the Tacketts visited the restaurant and were waited on by Grady. Then, they unveiled the gift to her.
Now, Grady has made it known that her faith in humanity has been restored and Gary Tackett says that just being able to help someone in need has made this year the best Christmas ever.
