Maria Eugenia Guerrero is the sister of Antonio Guerrero, one of 5 Cubans arrested in the U.S. by the FBI on September 12, 1998. The men, who had infiltrated violent, rightwing exile groups in Miami, who were committing terrorist attacks against Cuba, were working to prevent further attacks against the island. The Cuban 5 as they have been called, were later convicted on conspiracy charges, in a trial that many consider to have been unfair. Two of the men have already completed their sentences, but Antonio has been sentenced to stay in U.S. prison until 2017.
