Transcript:
A man named LeChuck really finds a knack for pirating. Not like illegally downloading, but the whole riding on ships and stealing thing. LeChuck builds a crew for himself, raids up and down the Caribbean coast, and even delves into voodoo and dark magic to further his greedy and infamous goals.
During his never-ending campaign, LeChuck sets his sights on the Governor of the Tri-Island area, the beautiful Elaine Marley, who unbeknownst to her, also has a family history of piracy. Surprisingly unimpressed by his dead crow hat and body odor, Elaine rejects LeChuck's advances.
With Elaine now his new goal over money and power, LeChuck sets his sights on impressing the Governess. Using a map ironically stolen from Elaine's grandfather Captain Marley, LeChuck goes after a mystical prize called The Big Whoop, which turns out to be a portal to the Underworld. Without hesitation, LeChuck sacrifices his soul to gain the portal's voodoo powers and ability to turn his crewmen into undead warriors like himself. Feeling good, LeChuck heads back to seduce-kidnap Elaine.
Now you, Guybrush Threepwood, must become a pirate by mastering swordplay, thievery, and treasure hunting, defeat the evil ghost pirate LeChuck, and complete puzzles.
