A French hostage has been freed by North African Islamist militants who had abducted him in Mali three years ago.
Serge Lazarevic was taken by AQIM (Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb) in November 2011.
The 50-year-old businessman, who has French and Serbian nationality, had last appeared in a video put online by his kidnappers.
News of his release was announced by President Hollande, who said that France now had no more hostages waiting to be freed.
Lazarevic was seized along with French geologist Philippe Verdon, who was killed by the Islamists last year in what they said was retaliation for the French military intervention in Mali.
