Prince William and Duchess Kate arrived in New York City on Sunday for their three-day visit to the U.S. The royal couple’s flight landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

After arriving at the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, they smiled for fans and posed for photos. In honor of the pair's visit, the Empire State Building was showing red, white and blue lights.

For their first night in the city, the couple reportedly attended an event for the American Friends of the Royal Foundation.

During their short stay, William has a meeting with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House along with a speaking engagement at the World Bank pertaining to wildlife trafficking.

Kate, who is 5 months pregnant with her second child has plans to visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem while her husband is in D.C.
