The Mexican Chamber of Deputies approved modifications to two articles of the Constitution, that opposition parties say are designed to limit public protest and free association. The laws, which strengthen the right to free movement in public spaces, were passed by representatives of the ruling party and the right wing National Action Party. "If this is not a preamble to an anti-march law," asked a representative from the Workers Party, "what is the urgency?" The laws may impede the mass demonstrations in the streets of Mexico in recent weeks, to demand the safe return of the 43 missing students from Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, and the resignation of President Enrique Pena Nieto. teleSUR.
