Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos warned military officials that he will not stand for acts of defiance against the peace process. His announcement comes one day after General Ruben Dario Alzate was freed by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia after having been detained by the guerrilla group two weeks earlier, when he was found deep in rebel territory in civilian gear, without proper security. The general tendered his resignation just after his release. Santos also said that he would withdraw any soldier from active service who threatens to undermine the negotiatons. teleSUR
