PNC Wealth Management has released their annual "Christmas Price Index," and according to it, the holiday is one percent more expensive this year than it was last.

The financial firm's calculations estimate what it would cost to gift a person all the items mentioned in the seasonal classic, "The 12 Days Of Christmas."

Though the overall tally didn’t move much, the cost of acquiring some items did increase significantly.

The biggest price hike was a whopping 74 percent for geese-a-laying.

In general, poultry prices have been on the rise, which also affects the cost of three French hens and a partridge in a pear tree.

The price of the tree, on the other hand, showed little increase.

Much to the surprise of many, the seven swans-a-swimmings' cost remain unchanged from last year. Traditionally, it' s the most volatile price category.

The total cost for all items and quantities listed in the song comes to just over $116,000.

PNC spends quite a bit of time putting the index together. They reach out to dance companies, aviaries, tree nurseries and jewelry stores to get information on prices of goods and services.
