French President Francois Hollande touches down in Guinea.
He's the first western leader to visit the region since the onset of the ebola epidemic.
The President was treated to a hero's welcome as he sped through the capital of a country that is still fighting the worst known outbreak of the disease in history.
Hollande warned against isolating countries affected by the virus, though he stressed that all those affected must remain vigilant
(SOUNDBITE) (French) FRENCH PRESIDENT, FRANCOIS HOLLANDE, SAYING:
"The fight against Ebola has not been won yet, you and I have to take a number of measures to avoid contamination and to spread information. And my visit here can get the message to all the Guinean population but also the French population that we must remain vigilant."
France has agreed to set up a military hospital in the country to help fight the outbreak and has pledged $125 million for the Ebola effort.
