Weather conditions permitting, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) announced that it would release captured General Ruben Dario Alzate on Sunday. He was originally to be released on Saturday but treacherous weather forced a delay. It is expected that the peace talks will resume within a week following Alzate's release.
