Riots broke out on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri after the announcement was made that a grand jury decided not to indict officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Michael Brown.

CNN reporter Sara Sidner became a victim of the violent aftermath stemming from that decision.

Sidner had been across the street from a burning business in Ferguson when someone tossed something at her. Cameras were rolling and she was on live TV as the object struck her on the head.

The noise of it hitting her was easily heard and immediately, Sidner cried out in pain and bent over while cradling her head. Sidner soon apologized for the delay and announced that she had been hit by what she thought was a rock and then she continued on reporting.

The concerned anchor asked a number of times if she was okay.

On Twitter, Sidner posted “All I have is a bump on my head. Turns out it was a bottle thrown from a car. Thanks for your kindness. I'm fine. But #Ferguson is not.”
