A new invention called the GoGlove could make life a little easier for heavy smartphone users. It is a wireless remote control that allows users to gain access to their smartphone without having to touch the screen.

Individuals can leave their phones inside their purses or pockets and still be able to control it with the glove. They can use the camera, listen to tunes or hear texts just by tapping their fingers.

A Bluetooth module connects to sensors and a magnet in the glove’s fingertips. Ben Harris, who is the co-founder of Easier to Use explains the process - “It’s all based on the magnet in your thumb and the sensor on your finger tip. You just tap the magnet to the individual finger… as well as one at the base of your index finger.”

Outfitted with AirTap technology, wearers can wear heavier mittens over the GoGlove without losing functionality. Harris came up with the idea for the glove while skiing.

It dawned on him that the process of taking his phone out of his pocket, removing a heavy glove and then placing the device back into his pocket was time consuming and problematic.

Harris hopes the GoGlove will appear on store shelves during the ski season next year.
