What’s the best way to get a bird’s eye view of London? Well, it seems like an eagle has offered one of the best tours in the vicinity.
London is a gorgeous city. While the street views are nice, bird's eye views are even nicer.
With a Sony camera strapped to its back, an eagle recently soared over many of the city’s most well known sights. The rare and undeniably beautiful tour was done to recognize the 50 year anniversary of the International Union for Conservation of Nature's 'Red List', which is a compilation of endangered and threatened species.
The campaign was certainly a successful, attention-garnering one. Not only are bird’s eye views offered of London sights, but the top of the eagle’s head and a portion of its back and wings can be seen in the footage.
The creature seemed to take its job of sightseeing rather seriously, as it went on a number of different tours over the city. Even though it was away from its usual habitat, the eagle appeared to be content soaring the skies and offering people from all over the world rare views of London.
The Imperial Eagle called Darchan is from the French Alps but it was taken to London by The Freedom Project to help celebrate the 'Red List' milestone.
